TASTE OF PORTIQUE by L'Ensemble Portique

Taste of Portique features Maske’s work “Visions” for flute, clarinet, double bass, and piano, as well as a selection of early and contemporary chamber music that L'Ensemble Portique recorded and performed in its inaugural 2002-2003 season.? Other composers featured include Boismortier, Telemann, JS Bach, CPE Bach, Lennox Berkeley, Max Yount, Otto Luening, Bohuslav Martinu, and Astor Piazzolla. |
SCENES - New Works Presented by the Oakwood Chamber Players

“Rumors,” is Maske’s featured work on this release, scored for oboe, French horn, and cello. The composition was premiered by the Oakwood Chamber Players in 2001 and later recorded for this release in 2002. Other featured composers include David Drexler, Craig Bohmler and Douglas Hill. The album received the honor of Best Instrumental Album 2002 Best Instrumental Song 2002 (Ophelia & Puck) Just Plain Folds Music Awards Nomination. |
SUPERIOR SHORES by the Chassell High School Band

“Superior Shores” was commissioned by the Chassell High School Band in 2002 and was premiered and recorded in 2003. Joan Petrelius, conductor of this band from the upper peninsula of Michigan, commissioned Maske to write a work for a concert band made up of students grades 7–12. Maske’s work serves as the title track for this release. |
CAGED by the Skyline Brass

The title track of this release is Maske’s “Caged,” a work for brass quintet, commissioned by the Skyline Brass in 1996. At the time, the Skyline Brass were based in Roseburg, Oregon as part of Chamber Music America’s Rural Residency Program. |

Before Maske had a band called Far Corner, he had a composition under that title. “Far Corner” is scored for soprano saxophone and piano and is featured on this album released by Arizona University Recordings. The work is performed by John Bleuel on sax and Lindi Li-Bleuel on piano. |
